Stop Snaking the Same Drain Every Three Months
When an underground sewer main becomes sluggish, the default response for many property owners is to rent a standard mechanical drain snake. While snakes are great for soft clogs like toilet paper, they only punch a small, temporary hole through major blockages like tree roots or grease walls. Within a few months, the roots grow right back or grease seals the gap shut again.
To fix a main drain line permanently, you have to look inside it. Our high-resolution camera feeds instantly reveal the structural health of your sewer line. If the pipe is physically intact but choked by roots or sludge, we drop in our hydro-jetting system to flush the line entirely clean. If it has collapsed or sagged, we give you an exact layout and price to dig down and repair the damaged section.
Work with clear data. Triad Plumbing provides up-front line mapping so you know the condition of your infrastructure before a shovel ever touches the dirt.
Sewer Line FAQs
How do I know if my mainline is backed up vs just one drain?
If only your kitchen sink is slow, it's a localized clog. However, if using your washing machine causes water to bubble up into your guest shower, or if flushing your toilet causes raw sewage to overflow out of your lowest household drains or outside yard cleanout, your main sewer line is blocked.
Can tree roots grow back after hydro-jetting?
Yes. Hydro-jetting strips roots out completely clean down to the pipe wall, which is far more effective than a mechanical snake. However, because roots are drawn to the moisture inside your line, they will eventually find their way back through any existing fractures or open pipe joints over a 1 to 3-year period unless the structural break is sealed or repaired.
How deep are sewer lines typically buried in El Paso?
In most residential areas across El Paso, sewer lines rest anywhere from 2 to 6 feet below the surface. The depth changes depending on the slope required to move waste effectively down to the municipal main infrastructure.
